Oh Thailand. A country that is not only stunningly beautiful, full of culture and incredible sights but also one with so many options and things to do. It is perfect for nature lovers, city dwellers and adventurers alike. On my first 3 week trip to Thailand at the end of 2016, I explored Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi, Krabi and Chiang Mai. A 3 week visit didn't seem like quite enough as I could've easily stayed there for a month longer and not be bored.
In Bangkok, we explored the city via the BTS metro, shopped Khao San Road and visited the famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. In Phuket, we swam with elephants in the ocean and hopped on the ferry to explore the other islands. In Koh Lanta, we scootered around the island and played on the beaches. In Koh Phi Phi, we grabbed a long tail boat for the day and island hopped around the best of the Andaman Sea. In Krabi, we ate well and hopped over to Hong Island and it's jade green waters. In Chiang Mai, we ate really really well, visited the temples, shopped the famous walking markets, played with elephants at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and released loy krathongs down the river and floating lanterns into the sky for Yee Peng.
I could rave all day about Thailand - it's natural wonders are truly something to behold - from it's bright turquoise waters, to its dramatic limestone cliffs, to it's mountains and incredible jungles. The Thai people are truly kind, friendly and welcoming, the lively culture will have you wanting to come back for more and Thailand's stunning scenery will make for a beautiful and memorable trip.
